FIFTH WEEK Royal Bhava Basic English Course Through Tamil

Before going to the current subjects, we can recollect the previous lessons . Now we have learnt some basic things in English Grammar. This will help us develop our knowledge in English. If you see any verb in English Dictionary, you can see the meaning in the following way.

1. arrive(v)[I] – to reach a place – This verb indicated as [I] is an intransitive verb. When you use in the sentence, an object will not come. Example: I arrived Madras.
2. arrest (v)[T] – seize or catch somebody in the name of law – The Verb indicated as [T] is a transitive Verb. When you use in the sentence, an object will come.

Example: The policeman arrested the thief.

We have to know about the nature of the verb. When we refer to Dictionary for knowing the meaning of any verb, we can see the nature of the verb of whether it is transitive or intransitive or both.

The Fifth week course will teach you the subject of “Be” Form Verb and Tabular form of Verb .
